Q531: Nikah after masturbation

Question: My friend says he masturbated while seeing a picture of a non-mahram woman. And asked for forgiveness about that. Then he married that lady’s daughter. Is the marriage valid? Please reply as he urgently needs to know and is going crazy.

Answer: ‘Hurmate Musaharat’ only takes effect when some touching is involved, here there is no touching, so it will not take effect, therefore the nikah is valid.
