Q894: Any basis for giving Adhaan in the ears of a new born?

Assalam o Alikum,
Is giving Azan in newborn’s ears does not have any basis?.we have been following this practice from our elders.as usual objection is raised against this ptactice by the ghair muqallids that there is no strong evidence for this.

Of course there is basis for it. There is a Hadith in mishkat sharif which states that when Hasan Ibn Ali radiallahu anhu was born, Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam gave Adhaan in his ears.

If the ghayr muqallids don’t know this Hadith, it’s a sign of their huge ignorance.
