The Etiquettes of Asking Questions
- There is no substitute for reading and increasing your knowledge thereby; if you have one question answered today, you may have two more questions tomorrow. Increasing your knowledge will equip you to deal with day-to-day queries. I recommend Bahishti Zewar and Ta’leem al-Haq. You may find Ta’leem al-Haq on www.inter-islam.org
- The best way to ask a question is in person. You will be able to acquaint your local Imam, Alim, or Aapaa with your situation far better in person. They will also be in a position to respond quicker and give you advice rather than merely issue a Fatwa.
- Please do not ask questions pertaining to political matters.
- Please think carefully before asking a question. “A good question is half the answer.”
- You should ask a question with ikhlas (sincerity) that is, with an intention to learn and act upon what you have been advised.
- Please check the website to ascertain if a question similar to yours has already been answered. There is a search engine expressly for this purpose. Type the topic to which your question pertains or a keyword eg. ‘divorce’ and click ‘Search’.
If you would like to ask Sheikh a questions, please go to the contact page.
NOTE – WE ARE NOT CURRENTLY TAKING ANY MORE QUESTIONS FOR SHAYKH UNTIL *AFTER RAMADHAN* AS SHAYKH HAS MANY TO ANSWER AND WE APOLOGISE FOR THE DELAYS.
