Q306: Listing to a Quran recording, Letters Saad/Seen together, Dua for protection from blindness/baldness

Question

If you listen to a copy of the quran on CD/ipod/hifi/audio system/car do you get sawaab and does the reciter whose recording you listen to also get sawaab?

Why are there Saad (letter) and Seen (letter) in some places in the holy quran such as “lasta alayhim bimusatir”?

Do you pronouce it  with seen or saad?

What is the wazifa/dua for not getting blind and not going bold?

Jazakallah

Answer

  1. The listener will get thawaab.  It is possible from the mercy of Allah that He could give thawaab to the reciter as well.
  2. In the qiraa’ah of Imaam Hafs rahmatullahi alayi it is pronounced with a saad.
  3. Read often:

“O Allah!  Grant me aafiyat in my body, grant me aafiyat in my ears and grant me aafiyat in my eyes. There is no deity besides You.”

Also:

“O Allah!  Let us benefit from our ears, eyes and energy for as long as we live.”

Also:

“O Allah!  I ask you for pardon and aafiyat in deen, dunya and in the aakihrah.”
