Q311: Praying Sunnats sitting down

Question

1. Can you pray sunnats and nafils sitting down?
2. Are you allowed to pray the sunnats and nafils which consist of 4 rakkats in one unit or do you have to pray 2 and 2?

Answer

1. Yes, though the reward will be reduced to half.
2. Four are four, so the sunnats before Zuhr, Asr and Isha should be prayed in four.  Nafl can be prayed in either two or four.
