Question: Did snakes have feet before?
Answer: There is nothing in Islam that precludes the possibility of snakes having had feet at some point. However, my personal proclivities are that this was not the case as I find the fossil evidence etc. for macro-evolution woefully lacking.
For further information on this issue I would recommend the work on evolution by Shaykh Nuh Keller. (Ismail/L 2/12)
