I would like to get some housing advice insha’Allah.

I have been married for a year now and currently residing with parents and it is having a negative effect on my marriage and my wife has asked me ‘Can we move out and get our own place’.

My wife has issues with sharing a kitchen with my mother and wants her own privacy. My house is headquarters for my siblings and my wife is Fed up and wants peace and quiet and wants her own place……………..

From the 2 options you have put forward, the council house one seems better and easier than the mortgage one. Mortgage is haram by qat’ee Nass. There is no way in which it can be permitted, so be careful.
