Q907: Working In An Off Licence Shop

Question:

If someone works in an off licence shop just as an employee and can’t find any other good occupation, will their rizq be haram?

Answer:

An off licence shop is made for selling mainly alcohol. You have to stack, serve, and help with the alcohol.  Therefore, such a job cannot be permitted. Get out of it as soon as possible.

May Allah provide a good source of rizq for you. Pray some nafl namaz, do tawba, istigjfaar and seek Allah’s help.
