Why Zina and Liwatat are haram!

All praise be to Allah, the Powerful, the Irresistible, the Omnipotent; He does as He so wills and He commands as per His wish. He created man from a drop of water and the made for him a lineage – indeed your Lord is most able. We praise Him and show gratitude to Him for His colossal bounties and immense blessings.

We testify that there is no god but Allah alone, there is no partner unto Him and we testify that Our leader and master Muhammad, is His (chosen) slave and messenger, His beloved and His dear friend, His chosen one and selected one from His creation. May peace and blessings be upon him, his companions and all those who follow him in good actions till the day of Qiyamah.

To proceed:
Indeed Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala has said, “Indeed those who enjoy spreading vulgarity within (the communities of) those who believe, for them there is a severe torment in this world and in the hereafter; and Allah knows and you do not.”

O slaves of Allah! Fear Allah! And know, that Allah Ta’ala has indeed forbidden those evils which are manifest and those which are inherent.

Furthermore, we have been forbidden by Rasulullah salallahu alayhi wa sallam from committing to all those things which distance us from Allah Ta’ala. Verily, Rasulullah salallahu alayhi wa sallam has said, “There is nothing that exists which beckons you closer to Jannah and distances you from the Fire except that I have commanded you to it; and there is nothing that exists which beckons you closer to the Fire and distances you from Jannah except that I have forbidden you from it.”

Rasulullah salallahu alayhi wa sallam said, “A fornicator does not fornicate whilst being a believer.” He salallahu alayhi wasallam also said, “When a slave fornicates, Allah seizes the Noor of Iman from his heart.”

Ibn Mas’ud radiallahu anhu narrates that he questioned Rasulullah salallahu alayhi wasallam, “O Messenger of Allah! Which sin is the greatest in the court of Allah?” He replied, “(That sin which is the greatest is) that you create for Allah a partner when He is the One who created you!” I said, “Indeed, that is a great sin… what sin comes next?” He replied, “That you kill your child because you are scared of feeding him (i.e. due to poverty).” I then said, “What sin comes next?” He said, “That you fornicate with your neighbour’s wife.”

Thereafter, Rasulullah salallahu alayhi wasallam has also said, “The thing I fear most for my Ummah is that they commit the actions perpetrated by the people of Lut.”

He salallahu alayhi wa sallam also said, “Indeed, Allah curses the one who performs the act perpetrated by the people of Lut! Indeed, Allah curses the one who performs the act perpetrated by the people of Lut! Indeed, Allah curses the one who performs the act perpetrated by the people of Lut!”

He salallahu alayhi wa sallam also said, “Whomsoever enters a man or a woman from the back passage, he has indeed disbelieved.”

Abbas Ad Doori narrated in kitabul Liwaat from Abu Hurayrah radiallahu anhu that Rasulullah salallahu alayhi wa sallam said, “Qiyamah will not be established until young men are married to in the manner young women are married to.”

Ali ibn Abi Talib radiallahu anhu said, “When a man seeks pleasure from a man and a woman seeks pleasure from a woman; earthquakes, mutation and pelting from the heavens will occur.”

Ibn Sireen has stated, “No animal commits the deed of the people of Lut except for…

Abbas ad Duree states, “Narrations have reached me that the earth screams due to the mounting of a man upon a man and a woman upon a woman.”

Tabrani has also related in Al-Awsat and Imam Bayhaqi has also mentioned that Rasulullah salallahu alayhi wasallam said, “There are four who awake in the morning to the anger of Allah and spend the evening in the severe displeasure of Allah: (he mentioned the three and then mentioned with them) that man who commits homosexuality.”

Faqeeh Abul Layth As Samarqandi has said, “Allah Ta’ala has forbidden fornication in Torah. Zabur, Injeel and in Al Furqan. And it definitely is a major sin. What sin can be greater than one which shatters the sanctity of a Muslim’s honour and mixes up lineages?
